The presentation methods included:-  story telling e.g. stories of personal experiences such as team member’s journey to Dadaab, various poetry and short lectures about the status of education in the camps, nature of curriculum in refugee schools, refugee student well-being and the living conditions in the camps.  The audience was mainly faculty members and students.

Some of the themes presented were: girl-child education, refugee community schools initiatives, student learning and teacher education in the camps. The tentative nature of refugee situation makes education the power, the freedom, the hope and the “only” road to a bright future for the people in Dadaab.
